A new role as Musical Director of Regent Brass
21 December 2013

I am delighted that Regent Brass, a championship section band based in Brent, London, has invited me to be it's new Musical Director
Having started my musical life as a small child holding a tenor horn in a Salvation Army brass band it is a pleasure to be associated with one of the finest bands in the country.

The appointment will allow me to take the band to contests held thoughout the UK and to develop its concert itinerary and community engagement work within the London Borough of Brent.

The Regent organisation also has a community band which provides performance opportunities for amateur musicians in north London and is led by Chris Bearman, a fine musician musician and excellent professional tuba player

Regent Brass are a 28 piece Brass Band based in Wembley, North West London. Founded in 1985 to cater for young brass players in Brent that had left the youth set-up, Regent Brass has since risen to the top of the brass band scene

Regent Brass have reached a wide range of audiences performing in concerts and events throughout the UK, and appearing on Radio 4, BBC1, BBC2, ITV & Channel 4 and the critically acclaimed “Nowhere Boy"

The main objectives of the band are:-
(a) To advance the education of the Public in the appreciation of the art of music and in particular brass band music by the presentation of concerts and other musical activities.
(b) To advance education and training in the art of music, particularly brass band music

Regent Brass are a Registered Charity No. 296128
