Myron Starovetskyi International Music Competition

Over 100 young trumpet and horn players will be taking part in the bi-annual Myron Starovetskyi International Music Competition in Ukraine. There are two competitions - Senior and Junior - and the performance standard is always very high in both sections. It should be a great week of music-making.

The trumpet competition is taking place at the Pedagogical University and the horn competition takes place at the Economical University in Ternopil.

Ternopil is a city in western Ukraine, located on the banks of the Seret River. Until 1944, it was known mostly as Tarnopol. Ternopil is one of the major cities of Western Ukraine and the historical regions of Galicia and Podolia with a population of just over 200,000 people.
