The Juno 2010 award-winning CD
The 2010 celebrations in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada marked the 39th anniversary of the JUNO Awards, Canada's most prestigious musical award ceremony.
The JUNO Awards has evolved from an industry awards event to a week-long festival which travels city to city across Canada. It encompasses both public-facing fan events and industry/networking opportunities featuring a diverse array of Canadian artists and emerging talent.
In a recording featuring works by Mendelssohn, Andre Mathieu and Shostakovich, Alain Lefèvre (piano), David Lefèvre (violin) and Paul Archibald (trumpet) were the soloists with superb orchestral playing by the London Mozart Players with Mathias Bamert conducting.
The recording won the JUNO Award in the Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble or Soloist(s) with Large Ensemble Accompaniment
