Dvorak: Slavonic Dances
Arranged by Philip White, these dances have been a favourite with pianists and orchestras for generations. Spirited, lively and full of musical interest the addition of these four dances to the brass quintet canon is a welcome supplement to that repertoire both as a complete set and as individual show fillers.

Sergei Prokofiev composed one of the greatest ballet scores of the 20th Century and Paul Archibald has created a brass and percussion transcription that will delight and enthrall both performers and audience alike.
Cecilia McDowall: Bells In The Air
The skill of bell-ringing seems to require such a fine balance between physical strength and perfect timing and yet when the sounds do collide with each other these imperfections seem just as endearing. I wrote Bells in the Air, a fanfare for trumpet and horn duo, thinking of that characteristically uneven fall of sound and how each pitch can set rich overtones a-jangling.
Lyric Suite for Brass
Grieg half-jokingly complained to his close friend, the Dutch composer Julius Röntgen : "... I have been lyric once again. Can't you please cure me of this affliction?". Grieg's Lyric Pieces, with their ever-fresh inspiration, distinct Norwegian flavour, and occasional flashes of virtuosity have been perfectly captured in Paul Archibald's arrangement and offer a great musical opportunity for enterprising performers
Tchaikovsky: Andante Cantabile
Tchaikovsky's String Quartet No. 1 was composed in February 1871. The second movement, which has become famous in its own right, was based on a folk song, likely the Song of the Volga Boatmen which the composer heard at his sister's house at Kamenka and whistled by a house painter.
Paul Archibald: Charpentier Fantastique
Scored for eight trumpets, two trombones, with piano, organ and percussion, Charpentier Fantastique piece commences as you would expect this memorable tune by Charpentier to begin but is soon joined by imitations of JS Bach, Malcolm Arnold and a hint of Benjamin Britten. A real tour-de-force and a superb closing finale to any brass concert
Crazy For You
This exciting overture by George Gershwin arranged by Jim Davies, really shows off what brass instruments do best. Jim says 'even though I have been scoring for brass ensemble for a number of years I still find new and exciting ways to link all the parts and sections together. I found this a real delight to arrange for 10 brass with the additional drum kit part'
